What Pizza Oven does
Pizza Oven is a community mod manager by TekkaGB. It downloads, installs, and manages Pizza Tower mods on PC. It is not an official game update or a Nintendo Switch modding tool.
The author's documentation says it selects one mod at a time. It does not automatically combine incompatible xdelta patches. Two mods changing the same game data cannot be assumed to work together.
02
Before you install a mod
- Confirm you can launch the unmodified PC game.
- Record the game's version and the mod's stated compatible version.
- Back up saves and any files you want to preserve before changing the installation.
- Get the tool from the Pizza Oven author's repository, then read the chosen release's instructions.
If the tool asks for a Desktop Runtime, follow that release's requirement. This guide does not claim that one runtime version is suitable for every future release. Keep Switch, mobile ports, and PC instructions separate.
03
Install and launch through Pizza Oven
Open the tool. It tries to locate the game directory automatically; if it cannot, select your actual PizzaTower.exe when prompted.
The author documents three installation routes: the built-in Mod Browser, supported one-click installation buttons, and dropping a downloaded mod folder or archive onto the mod grid. Prefer the mod creator's own release rather than an unrelated reupload.
Select one installed mod and press Launch. Test that one combination before replacing it with another. Keep a note of the game, tool, and mod versions so an error report describes an actual configuration.
04
Troubleshoot a patch or launch error
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| An xdelta patch fails | Does the mod target the installed game version? |
| A code error appears on launch | Does the mod's game-data file match your game version? |
| The selected mod has no visible effect | Does the package contain file types supported by the tool? |
| A second tool window will not open | The author says only one instance runs at a time. |
An older mod may need an update from its creator. Reinstalling the same incompatible patch does not establish compatibility. This is an author-documented workflow; the site has not tested every current mod or version combination.
05
Return to the unmodified game
In Pizza Oven, use Clear Selection, then Launch. If the installation still crashes, first preserve your backups and check whether modified or extra files remain.
The official Noise Update announcement warns that old mods or modified files can cause crashes. Its recovery guidance is to clear the game installation files and then verify installed files through Steam. Follow that guidance only after identifying the game installation folder; do not apply it to an unrelated folder or your save backup.
Before returning to score challenges, test one ordinary level in the unmodified game and revisit the P-rank checklist.
Questions
What players ask
Can Pizza Oven combine any two mods?
No. The author documents one selected mod at a time and warns that xdelta patches cannot simply be combined.
Are these Nintendo Switch modding instructions?
No. The documented executable and game-directory setup apply to the PC tool.
